"Sleeping Dragon Chest"~ is such a magically beautiful chest!  This antique chest was acquired as it needed some serious repair.  A lot of work went into this beauty to keep as much of the original craftsmanship intact.  Once I had a fully intact piece again, the fun began.  As I was able to keep much of the antique pressed brass sheeting, it was embellished with gilded waxes to allow the true beauty to come through.  Additions of filigree, metal pieces, wood pieces, pearl teardrops, and art stones were added before deciding to go all out and add a reticulated dragon (that simply sleeps atop, with his tail wrapped around and down the back of the magnificent piece!  The lines of this piece, matched with its intricate design, make it a total show-stopper!
